【背景】

Rooted in the core concept of “a society where sustainability comes naturally and effortlessly,” this map-based portal app is designed to visualise and encourage sustainable choices and actions in everyday life. Our goal is to help people make the sustainable switch in their urban lifestyles.

While many European countries are well advanced in sustainability, Japan still faces a significant gap—especially in cities—where sustainability has yet to truly connect with economic and social action. To address this, we began developing an app service that makes sustainable options visible and inspires real-world action. A beta version is scheduled for launch around autumn 2020.

The app visualises shops and events categorised by various sustainability themes, allowing users to freely search and browse information that matters to them.

It also features a “Challenge” function that lets users connect with one another and share their actions. This means the app isn’t just about receiving information passively—you can actively share your own ideas and insights, and take part in a more engaging, community-driven experience.

Looking ahead, we plan to expand the service as a data platform and middleware. Applications will include data-driven sustainable urban planning, real estate concept proposals, and even integration with e-commerce and Mobility as a Service (MaaS). By approaching sustainability from multiple angles, we aim to co-create city spaces and everyday living scenes that are genuinely rich in sustainable value.
